Bought a prime

I’ve had my eye on this lens for a while. It’s a cheap one with a big aperature. I’ve just ordered the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens. It’s a reasonably cheap lens for for example low light and portrait photography. With a lens with such a big aperature I can for the first time make pictures with a very shallow depth of view.
This means that for example in a portrait only the face is in focus and nothing in front or behind the person. I’ll have fun experimenting with this lens. It’ll be delivered to my office tomorrow, woohoo.
